Follow Up Appointment

I met with my physical medicine specialist today. I was there for a follow up to go over the cervical & thoracic spine MRI's that he had ordered.  I did have several bulging discs in my neck, but nothing was pressing on the spinal cord.  The ultrasound of my piriformis & hip will be key for showing/proving to the hip specialists what is causing the numbness.  One of the ultrasound images showed pitting on my femor head near the hip capsule.  It looked like someone took a hammer to my hip!

I am so happy that I have a doctor that feels so confident that there is more than enough evidence my hip is the culprit causing all of my issues, including piriformis syndrome!  The way he explained it is that the piriformis had to work overdrive to make up for my weak hip.  Guess it was working too hard and just couldn't take it any longer LOL.  Well, I made my piriformis pretty mad at me. :) Now I just need to get a hip surgeon so I can schedule the surgery!
