Piriformis Injection #1

I got my first piriformis injection yesterday. It was pretty easy, just like the injection I had in my hip.  It was not painful at all, really didn't feel anything.  Shortly after the injection I felt a lot of pressure and tightening.   I had a 2 hour car ride back to Cincinnati and then had to work at my desk for 5 hours, which led to my hip & butt aching really bad.  Dr. S (my pain management specialist) told me it could take several days for me to notice the effects of the injection and might even need additional injections before I notice a difference. So, I was sooo excited today when I woke up and realized I could rotate my left leg in a little!! It has been months since I could do this.  I'm hoping that I will find some pain relief too.

I have decided to send my medical records to a doctor in Nashville that specializes in both piriformis syndrome and hip arthroscopies!  Sounds like the perfect doctor for me!  I really didn't want to send my medical records to another doctor, but it is the only way he will see me.  I cannot get an appointment until he reviews them.  I decided to leave some of the info out...not because I want to hide anything, but I just don't want to overwhelm him. Hopefully things will work out for me this time.  I want to get better!!!
