Chain reaction

It seems I have had quite the chain reaction as my whole left side seems to be affected. I guess it makes sense since my alignment has been off, I tend to shift my weight differently now, and have a lot of muscle imbalances. I have had shoulder pain for about a year now (both shoulders).  My left shoulder is the worst (bad hip side).  It clunks, pops, feels like it is pulling out of the socket, collar bone hurts & bruises, armpit hurts, and have knots from shoulder to neck. I finally decided to see a shoulder specialist b/c I suspected that I had torn the labrum. The MRI results finally came in and I have tendonitis and a partial tear in my rotator cuff.I did find it odd that the surgeon didnt order an MRI with contrast, especially since we were mainly looking for a SLAP tear. Anyways, my shoulder has a lot of inflammation so the doctor recommended I get a cortisone injection to help with the tendonitis/bursitis. I'm going to hold off on the injection until I am off the crutches...it just seems a little pointless until then. I have been trying to only use 1 crutch as often as I can so that I don't make my left shoulder any worse. I feel like I'm in a tough spot though as my hip surgeon told me to use BOTH crutches or no crutches(depending on how far I have to walk and how I feel) last time he saw me because he didn't think I was walking normal enough when I only used 1 crutch. Dr. E is concerned about my shoulder and definitely doesn't want it to get worse so it's just a tough call right now on what is best for me. I think everyone is in agreement that my shoulder will not improve until I get off the crutches. So far I have been trying to regain my ROM in both shoulders and have not noticed a decrease in pain. I'm going to keep working on the stretches and icing....hopefully it will calm down soon.
