Injection cancelled

Today I had a piriformis injection scheduled. This would have been my 3rd injection. Well after speaking with my dr prior to going in for the injection, he decided that I should not move forward with it as scheduled and cancelled it. He explained that these injections all have a risk associated with them and can actually induce pain sometimes. I know the risks and am glad my dr was open with me on the matter. Since I am doing so well since my last injection he wants me to leave it alone. We also cancelled my follow up appt next week (I have to drive 2 hours to see him). I will contact him if I have questions or need his help again. I really like Dr. S. he's a pretty cool guy.

One thing I did notice was that my BP was pretty high for me. I have stopped all meds for 2 days b/c of the injection so I'm guessing it is from my pain level. I am normally around 95-110(high for me) and today my BP was 128/91. I was not nervous or anxious. Trust me I'm used to getting poked and prodded at this point. I have been keeping a log of when my BP is out of whack and what meds I have taken/not taken, and how much pain I'm in. Guess I'll add today to the list. I was joking with the nurse that I have started to feel immune to the pain before she took my BP....oh well:/
